IPL 2024: Schedule, Team List, Fixtures And Venues

The IPL 2024 is almost here, and people are excited about it. Finally, BCCI released the IPL 2024 schedule for the tournament’s first half on 22 February. The first half will have 21 matches, which will be played between 10 teams. The teams will play the matches over a period of 14 days across 10 cities in India. Last year, Tata IPL garnered a record-breaking viewership of around 449 million viewers. Moreover, BCCI expects this number to increase in the IPL 2024 season. The 449 million viewership in 2023 allowed IPL to generate a revenue of around $11.2 billion. This is also expected to go up, considering the expected increase in viewership. However, all of this is for when IPL 2024 ends. Now, let’s take a look at when the Tata IPL 2024 season will start.

Here are the basic details you need to know before the start of the IPL 2024 season. The award money is the same as the previous year, at Rs. 46.5 crore. The winning team will receive Rs. 20 Crores while the runner-up team will get Rs. 13 Crores.

Not a lot has changed except for the fact that Shreyas Iyer is back at being the captain of KKR. Iyer missed out on the season last year due to a back injury. On the other hand, Rohit Sharma will be replaced as the next captain of Mumbai Indians. Hardik Pandya, who is one of the best finishers in IPL history, will replace Rohit Sharma as captain.
