These shuttles are best for beginners and lower-level club players who are still developing skills. Apart from being durable, synthetic shuttlecocks are also more pocket-friendly than feather ones. 

Synthetic shuttlecocks generally decelerate slower than feather ones. As a result, these types of Shuttlecock lead to fast-paced games with less control and touch play. Although, synthetic shuttles don’t provide the best game experience. They are used in BWF (Badminton World Federation) International-sanctioned tournaments.

Hybrid Shuttlecock

Hybrid Shuttlecocks are the third and final type of shuttlecock. These types of shuttlecocks are made with a combination of feathers and plastic. Unfortunately, only a few are available in the market at the moment. These shuttlecocks use duck or goose feathers with synthetic frames. They are cheaper than feather ones and last longer. Hybrid shuttles lower product wastage and are good for training and tournaments due to their characteristics.
