The BCCI Awards 2024 took place yesterday in Hyderabad after a gap of four years. Starting in 2006-07, the Board of Control for Cricket in India(BCCI) honours outstanding performers for their contribution to Indian cricket. The ceremony took place to announce the winners of all awards for the past four years.Â
This award ceremony was attended by the Indian cricket team(both men and women) and retired cricketers. The guests for this event were Virat Kohli and Indian Skipper Rohit Sharma. The BCCI Awards 2024 ceremony was filled with cricketing stars and legends. On receiving the lifetime achievement award, former Indian coach Ravi Shastri got emotional and recalled the 1983 WC win and Gabba Test Victory, which has a special place in his heart.
Since the awards couldn’t take place in the last few years, the recent award ceremony honoured every contributor who took cricket to the next level. Now, all eyes are on India vs England Test series starting on 25 January 2024.Â
