Arjun Rawat & His Family Background

Hailing from Ram Nagar, Uttrakhand, Anuj Rawat was born on October 19, 1999. His father’s name is Virendra Pal Singh Rawat who is a farmer, and his mother, Asha Rawat, is a homemaker. He is one of two children of his parents, and his sibling’s name is Prashant Rawat. The boy from the well-reputed family always dreamt of shining his parent’s name, and he took his first step towards his dream at the age of 11. He decided to leave his home city and came to Delhi to chase his dream of cricket. 

The Beginning Of Anuj Rawat’s Dream

Anuj Rawat is a beautifully emerged cricket player, representing the Indian team on national and international levels. He is a left-handed batsman known for his unmatched batting skills. Today’s most popular cricketer was once a struggling beginner. Like any other beginner, Anuj also faced challenges in the initial days of his career. Even amidst the challenges, a spark of determination ignited within him. Anuj’s early years were marked by his insatiable curiosity and hunger for knowledge. When it comes to Anuj Rawat’s education, he completed his primary education in his birthplace Ramnagar, followed by his graduation in Delhi. Besides completing his education, he enrolled in Raj Kumar Sharma’s cricket academy in Paschim Vihar, West Delhi. Here, he learned cricket skills under talented coaches. 

Anuj’s cricket career began early with the Delhi domestic team. Here, he also became a member of the Delhi domestic team squad. After this, Anuj Rawat got selected for Under-19  and played for the 2018 U-19 Asia Cup. Anuj, who was a part of the Delhi domestic team, is now the captain of the U-19 team of India. In his U-19 Asia Cup 2018 match against Sri Lanka, he astounded India with his exceptional on-field performance. He scored 79 runs off 57 balls. 

Well, this is just the beginning of Anuj Rawat’s journey; he never looked back from here. He made his first-class debut from  the Delhi side in 2017 and made his Twenty-20 debut in 2018, in which he won Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. Aside from this, he played List A cricket on October 4, 2019. 

Anuj Rawat’s Debut To Indian Premier League

Due to his unprecedented performance in domestic cricket, the BCCI placed him in the IPL auction for the first time in 2020. There, he was acquired by Rajasthan Royals for Rs. 80 lakhs. In 2020, he was purchased by the RCB franchise for 3.4 crores. He scored his first-half century in the IPL 2022 against the Mumbai Indians on April 9, 2022, where he hit 66 runs in 47 balls, including 6 sixes and 2 fours. In the recent season, Anuj Rawat was acquired by the Bangalore franchise for a handsome amount of Rs. 3.40 crores.
