UFC 314 Time: Who Will Prevail as the New World Champion

The Ultimate Fighting Championship is back with another banger, UFC 314, featuring a fight for the undisputed and vacant Featherweight championship as the main event and plenty of other super exciting fights. The card’s feature bout will see a face-off between former Interim Featherweight champion, Yair Rodriguez and former Bellator champion making his UFC debut, Patricio Pitbull. The co-main event also features a much-anticipated fight between former Bellator Champion and UFC Lightweight Championship challenger, Michael Chandler and the Scouser King of UFC, Paddy Pimblet.

UFC 314 is scheduled to take place on April 13 in the Kaseya Centre in Miami, Florida. Originally, the main event of the card featured a fight between the former Featherweight Champion Alexander ‘The Great’ Volkonovski and the current Featherweight champion, Ilia Topuria. However, the bout was cancelled after Ilia Topuria vacated the championship.

Moreover, this card marks the debut of a legend of the sport in Patricio Pitbull, who has spent almost his entire career in Bellator, one of the best MMA organisations in the world. He will be taking on a former interim Featherweight champion, Yair Rodriguez.

You can Watch UFC 314 live from the Kesaya Center on Saturday, 12 April. The main card will start at 7:00 PM PDT. However, as exciting as Michael Chandler is, his game has some definite gaps. As soon as s**t hits the fan, he starts spawning punches like he is in a UFC video game, with no regard for his own safety. Paddy, on the other hand, can dance with the devil, any way he likes. He has a good ground game and explosive striking.

3. Yair Rodriguez vs Patricio Pitbull

Now, this is the fight for the people who want to see flashy striking with crisp and fast kicking game. Yair, a taekwondo master, is known for his kicks and striking acumen. On the other hand, Pitbull is quite literally what his name suggests, a pitbull. However, it’s safe to say that Pitbull is almost at the end of his MMA career. With over 40 fights under his belt, Patricio can be labelled as damaged goods. But in a sport where men die young, one should always respect the old folks because they have experience. While Yair has good striking, his grappling is still very immature, and he even pulls guard instead of defending takedowns. This could get him in trouble against someone as experienced as Patricio.

4. Bryce Mitchel Vs Jean Silva

When it comes to UFC 314, this fight seems to be the only striker vs grappler fight. Bryce is a grappling wizard, while Silva throws some heavy hands. Although both are good in all aspects of MMA, it’s quite evident that they are specialists in their own disciplines. This match can end in a blitz if Silva lands a bomb. It’s worth noting that Bryce has shown that he can be knocked out in his previous few outings. That being said, we believe this fight will be the dark horse in the UFC 314 fight card.

This fight was originally on the preliminary card but was bumped up after the fight between Carlos Prates and Geoff Neal fell apart. Dominock has gone through some ups and downs in his career and seems to be on another run to the title. Nikita Krylov is still trying to make a name for himself.
